Group Exhibition at The Courthouse Gallery & Studios at Ennistymon, Co.Clare.
Curated by Simon Fennessy Corcoran, Lusus brings together the work of five artists, Eleanor McCaughey, Fiona Gordon, Anna Spearman, Domnick Sorace and Joanna Hopkins.
This exhibition explores the robust relationships between materiality, human experiences, and the impact the works have on our experience of spaces. Through a range of multi-faceted installations, encompassing painting, sculpture, video, sound, and various other media, the exhibition invites visitors to delve into the artists' distinct explorations of domesticity, environment, cultural heritage, and the physical and metaphysical connections between humans and the material world.

The Maternal Gaze
IMMA Collection: Freud Project 2016 - 2021
The Maternal Gaze is a series of short videos and films featuring 22 artists and creatives based in Ireland, as part of The Artist’s Mother project. Utilising vox pop style videos and short films, participating artists answer IMMA’s invitation to reflect on the impact of their mother figure on their career practice and development.
Reminiscing about his childhood, living with his grandparents in Malta, Domnick Sorace pinpoints his first introduction to art to his grandmother, and shares how the décor of her home influenced his aesthetics today.
